On 20th October 2020 the 14th Joint Call for Research, Development & Innovation Proposals of the ERA-NET Bioenergy was launched. The topic of this Joint Call is : “Development and improvement of biomass conversion technologies for the provisioning of heat for industrial processes”. The Joint Call aims to support innovative, collaborative pan-European, R&D&I projects, which should contribute to safe, environmentally friendly, reliable and economical bioenergy production. The focus is on technology readiness levels 2-7 (at the end of the funded project). The projects should address new implementation pathways supporting decarbonisation of industry and demonstration of best practice examples. Furthermore, the linkage to circular economy especially in industry sectors has to be stressed more, e.g. by using biomass based waste as fuel or feedstock.
The submission of proposals follows a 2-step procedure. The due-date for pre-proposal submission is 26th January 2021, 13:00 CET via e-mail at: email@example.com. Consortia that pass the first evaluation stage will be invited to submit their full proposals.
On 11th November 2020, a networking webinar will be organized to give researchers the chance to interlink with each other and build consortia. To sign up for this, applicants need to express their interest by sending an email to Boris Vashev ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) at the Call Secretariat until 6th November 2020. Draft project ideas and partner needs have to be sent to the call secretariat beforehand.
